About Contrast Checker
This tool is built for designers and developers to test color contrast compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These calculations are based on the formulas specified by the W3C.
How to Use
To run your test, select a foreground color and a background color. The results will automatically generate and you will receive your scores. You will receive a pass, margin or fail, depending on your selections. You may select ‘Add To History’ to add your swatch to a list generated below. When you have multiple swatches in your History, you may save to PDF.
Once you have created your swatch, you can view it in grayscale to see how the colors appear to a colorblind user. Simply click “See Grayscale” above the main swatch box to toggle the view.
